Revidering av blodtrykkstabellen i PedSAFE
Blodtrykkstabellen er laget som et redskap for å fange opp hypotensjon og hypertensjon hos barn.
Flere forenklinger er gjort som beskrevet under.
Husk at vurdering av sirkulasjonen hos et sykt barn må baseres seg på en samlet vurdering av blodtrykk (BT), hudfarge, kapillærfyllingstid, pulsstyrke, hjertefrekvens, våkenhet og diurese.
Blodtrykk varierer med kjønn og alder.
10 og 90 percentilen for BT har vært utgangspunktet for høyeste og laveste verdi i tabellen, men avrundet hensiktsmessig for å unngå å overse hypotensjon eller hypertensjon som beskrevet under.
I en tabell med aldersgrupper vil ikke 90 percentilen være nøyaktig for både høyeste og laveste alder i aldersgruppe. En tabell der det ikke skilles på kjønn vil også innebære unøyaktighet.
Den eldste i aldersgruppen har bestemt laveste verdi for å unngå at hypotensjon blir oversett. Husk at for eksempel aldersgruppen 1-3 år også innebærer barn som snart fyller 4 år, dette er det tatt hensyn til.
De yngste i gruppa har bestemt høyeste verdi for å unngå at hypertensjon blir oversett. Man skal ikke starte behandling av hypertensjon på bakgrunn av denne tabellen.
Tabellen er tilpasset slik at tallene skal ende på 10 eller 5.
